Get It? Got It? Good.

So I stumbled upon this photo of Sir Orlando Bloom. (no, he does not officially have that title, but the man certainly deserves to be knighted in my humble American opinion. I mean, look at him.) I know many of my lady-friends don't understand the Orlando Attraction, but seriously folks, how can anyone see this photo and not get it??!! And that's my entire post for the day. I guess I'll cease from being a silly Tiger Beat reading teenager and go back to being the 40+ Mom that I am now. damn.

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?

An interesting topic...a friend of mine got one of those 'getting to know you' questions whilst he was interviewing for a job. If you could invite 5 people to dinner, dead or alive, who would they be? It got me thinking how I would answer that question. ( I love stuff like this, although I don't like them on the spot!) Here's my list:

1. JRR Tolkien--but of course.
2. Marilyn Manson--what can I say, the guy fascinates me!
3. The Queen of England--I'm fascinated by royalty. And hey, wouldn't it be fun to see her and Marilyn in the same room?!
4. My husband--but of course!
5. And Orlando. A little eye candy. And my husband wouldn't mind.

Arg, Thumbs Down

Sweet Santa brought me Pirates of the Caribbean 2, Dead Man's Chest in my stocking--I was quite thrilled. I never got around to seeing it in the theater, and I loved the first one. As you readers well know, I love Orlando...and Johnny Depp ain't bad, either. (did I ever mention that he winked at me once?!) I have to say, I was disappointed in this one. It was fun, but it's like it tried too hard to be fun. It didn't have the light-heartedness that the first one did. But of course a movie in which Orlando and Johnny don pirate gear and run around acting manly is never a bad thing, no matter how poor the script. All I can say is that Keira Knightley is one lucky chick--she actually gets paid to kiss BOTH of those manly men. Whew!
